I was born in Oct 1929 in a small town called Pithapuram, W. Godavari district in the state of Andhra Pradesh. My childhood and early schooling was spent in Kakinada, followed by my Bachelors degree education in Rajahmundry. My MSc in Geophysics was completed from Andhra University, Waltair (aka Visakhapatnam) in 1951. My professional career spans over 4 decades, starting at Physical Research Laboratory (PRL), Ahmedabad, 1951-55, then at Tata Institute of Fundamaental Research (T.I.F.R), Bombay, 1955-68. In between, from Aug 1959 to December 1961, I was at The Royal Institute of Technology, Stockholm, Sweden, for my PhD degree in Theoretical Physics. Subsequently, in 1968 I moved to Bhabha Atomic Research Center, Bombay, where I retired in early 1991.

This web-site has a collection of my thoughts, writings, and lectures on some aspects of Indian Philosohpy, Scientific papers, topics in Mathematics, social issues and spirituality.

All of which are like a tiny drop of water in the body of knowledge already existing. I hope the ripple effects carry the message forward far and wide, and beyond my lifetime. Kusuma Hara.
